HMJ or Himpunan Jurusan Mahasiswa (Students’ Asociation) of Managamenet held the Management Club Entrepreneurship Webinar on Saturday, May 28, 2022. This webinar presented two resource persons from academics and practitioners, namely Dr. I Gede Putra Nugraha, S.S, M.Par as Lecturer from the Management Department and Ngurah Bagus Jayantha M as Owner of Danke Cafe Bali & General Practitioner were guided directly by the moderator, namely Gilang Pangestu. DS. as Functionary of Division 3 HMJ Management. The theme carried is “Build a Creative and Innovative Mindset for Business Entrepreneurs”, where the speakers provide material that is very relevant to the current condition of millennials in opening a business.

In the material presentation session, the first resource person provided information related to how to foster a creative mindset and the spirit of pioneering entrepreneurship. The resource person reminded about the importance of changing the mindset of millennials in trying to become a businessman. This is of course very crucial because over time, employment opportunities will be increasingly limited so that indirectly millennials are expected to be able to assist the government in opening new job opportunities. The resource person re-explained the benefits of entrepreneurship, namely: 1. Unlimited profits, 2. Independent and free to manage their own business without intervention from other parties, and 3. Flexible time or not bound by time and free in determining holidays. To be able to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit, millennials can study independently or self-taught through webinars or seminars. In addition, millennials must also have a high sense of caring. The last effort that can be done by millennials is to read the biography of a successful businessman and then after that the millennials can immediately take action or take real action.

In the next session, the second speaker added material related to the belief that millennials have in taking advantage of the demographic bonus to grow their entrepreneurial spirit. In addition, the speakers also added about the mindset that millennials must have, such as: 1. Creative and innovative, 2. Discipline and focus on goals, 3. Growth mindset, and 4. Problem solver. Overall, this Webinar was attended by students in the Management Department of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha which was conducted online via the zoom platform and went smoothly as planned. (team)
